It provides a branch takeoff from a main run pipe, connecting a 3-inch main line to a 2-inch branch outlet using threaded end connections. This fitting is a single-unit component intended for installation by licensed fire protection contractors and plumbing professionals working on wet or dry sprinkler systems. Its threaded mechanical design allows for straightforward field assembly without welding or specialty tooling.

This tee is suited for commercial and industrial fire suppression piping layouts where a reducing branch connection is required. The 3 x 2 configuration is a common size pairing in sprinkler distribution networks, making it appropriate for main-to-branch transitions in both new construction and retrofit applications. Installation is performed by fire protection contractors following NFPA 13 standards and applicable local codes.

Key Features

Threaded mechanical tee configuration for reliable branch connections

3-inch run by 2-inch branch outlet sizing for reducing takeoff applications

Threaded end connections compatible with standard pipe threading

Single-unit selling configuration for straightforward procurement

Manufactured by Tyco Fire Products for fire protection system use

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style threaded mechanical tee fitting for fire protection piping systems requiring a 3-inch by 2-inch reducing branch outlet connection.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed fire protection contractor in accordance with NFPA 13 and all applicable local codes.
