Constructed from brass with a polybutylene body, this fitting accepts a 6mm outside diameter tube and holds a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. The push-to-connect mechanism allows for tool-free tube insertion and removal, making it a practical choice for maintenance tasks where lines need to be capped quickly and securely. It is installed by licensed pipefitters, pneumatic system technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals working on compressed air distribution and fluid control lines.

This plug fitting is suited for use in compressed air and pneumatic control systems found in light industrial, manufacturing, and process automation environments. Its compact overall length of 35mm and white coloring make it easy to identify capped ports during inspection. The RoHS-compliant construction makes it appropriate for installations where restricted substance compliance is required. It is typically used to decommission unused ports, isolate circuit branches during servicing, or temporarily block lines during system modifications.

Key Features

Push-to-connect design allows tool-free tube insertion and secure sealing

Brass and polybutylene construction for durability in pneumatic service

Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure

Accepts 6mm outside diameter tubing

RoHS compliant for restricted-substance-sensitive installations

Compact 35mm overall length for use in tight panel or manifold layouts

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect plug for pneumatic tubing systems using 6mm outside diameter tube lines.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified pneumatic or pipefitting technicians. Always depressurize and bleed the pneumatic circuit to zero pressure before inserting or removing any push-to-connect fitting. Verify that the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely to ensure a proper seal. Follow applicable facility safety and compressed air system codes when capping or isolating pneumatic lines.

Technical Specifications

Connection Type: Push-to-Connect

Material: Brass, Polybutylene

Color: White

Tube Outside Diameter: 6mm

Maximum Working Pressure: 150 psi

Overall Length: 35mm

Weight: 0.006 pounds

Standards: RoHS

UNSPSC Code: 27121700

Standard Information

Brand: SMC PNEUMATICS

Manufacturer Part Number: KQ2P-06
