The red color coding indicates hot-water line designation, making it easy to identify supply lines at rough-in and during service. A SharkBite imprint pattern is printed along the tube at regular intervals, giving installers a clear visual reference to confirm full insertion depth when connecting to SharkBite push-fit fittings. This tubing is suitable for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where flexible, corrosion-resistant water supply piping is required.

This PEX coil is used in residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems. It is well suited for hot-water supply runs where color-coded identification is required by local code or preferred for serviceability. The 100-foot coil length reduces the number of joints needed on longer runs, which lowers the risk of leak points. Plumbers and pipefitters typically use this tubing during new construction, remodel, and repipe projects where flexible tubing is preferred over rigid copper or CPVC.

Key Features

Cross-linked polyethylene construction rated for potable water applications

Red color coding for easy hot-water line identification

1-inch CTS sizing for compatibility with standard PEX fittings and SharkBite push-fit connectors

SharkBite imprint pattern provides a built-in insertion depth indicator for push-fit connections

100-foot coil minimizes mid-run joints on longer water supply runs

Compatibility

Designed for use with SharkBite push-fit fittings and standard 1-inch CTS PEX fittings in potable water distribution systems.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing lines. Use a dedicated PEX cutter to ensure a clean, square cut before inserting the tube into push-fit or crimp fittings. Verify full insertion depth using the SharkBite imprint pattern before pressurizing the system.

Technical Specifications

Tube Size: 1 inch CTS

Length: 100 feet

Material: Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX)

Color: Red

Application: Potable Water

Weight: 14.77 pounds

Package Quantity: 1

Standard Information

Brand: SHARKBITE/CASH ACME

Manufacturer Part Number: U880R100
