The flexible poly bristles conform to the interior surfaces of the flue, dislodging creosote, soot, and debris without damaging liner materials. The brush connects via a 1/4-inch NPSM male threaded fitting, which is compatible with standard chimney rod systems. Weighing 1 pound, it is easy to maneuver through vertical and offset flue runs. Chimney sweeps and HVAC technicians rely on this tool for routine flue maintenance and pre-season inspections.

This brush is suited for use in round flue liners measuring 8 inches in diameter. Typical applications include cleaning terra cotta tile liners, stainless steel liners, and cast-in-place flue systems in residential gas, oil, and wood-burning appliances. It is also appropriate for use on B-vent and Type L vent systems where the flue diameter matches the brush size. The 1/4-inch NPSM male connection threads onto most commercially available flexible and rigid chimney cleaning rods sold separately.

Key Features

8-inch diameter round profile sized for standard residential flue liners

Poly bristle construction resists moisture and chemical exposure during cleaning

1/4-inch NPSM male connection threads onto standard chimney cleaning rod systems

Lightweight at 1 pound for easy handling in vertical flue runs

Round shape ensures consistent contact with circular flue liner walls

Compatibility

Designed as a replacement or service brush for round flue liners and chimney systems with an 8-inch interior diameter requiring a 1/4-inch NPSM male rod connection.

Installation Notes

Chimney sweeps and licensed HVAC technicians should ensure the appliance or fireplace is completely cooled and the damper is closed before beginning flue cleaning.
