Measuring 96 inches long and 1-3/4 inches wide, this unit features a clear anodized aluminum finish that resists corrosion and blends with standard commercial and residential door frames. The adjustable design allows the installer to fine-tune the contact pressure against the door stop, maintaining an effective seal over time as door hardware settles or shifts. This part is typically installed by carpenters, glaziers, or general contractors during door frame finishing or weatherization work.

This weatherstripping is suited for use on exterior door assemblies in both residential and light commercial applications. The head jamb configuration means it is intended for installation along the top horizontal frame member and along side jambs where an adjustable, surface-mounted seal is required. It is well matched to standard 90-degree door frame profiles and is commonly used in new construction as well as door replacement and retrofit projects requiring improved energy performance and weather exclusion.

Key Features

Adjustable head jamb design allows field tuning of seal contact pressure

Clear anodized aluminum finish provides corrosion resistance and a clean appearance

96-inch length accommodates standard and oversized door frame heights

1-3/4-inch width suits typical door stop and jamb profiles

Surface-mount installation compatible with common commercial and residential frame types

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation weatherstripping for standard exterior door head jamb and side jamb applications where an adjustable aluminum seal profile is specified.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a carpenter or door hardware technician using standard hand tools including a drill, screwdriver, and tin snips or hacksaw for field cutting if required. Ensure the door is closed and latched before adjusting the seal contact to set proper compression. Follow applicable local building codes for weatherization and energy efficiency requirements. Do not over-compress the seal, as excessive pressure can cause premature wear on both the weatherstrip and the door finish.

Technical Specifications

Length: 96 inches

Width: 1-3/4 inches

Weatherstripping Type: Head and Jamb

Finish: Clear Anodized Aluminum

Package Quantity: 1

Standard Information

Brand: PEMKO

Manufacturer Part Number: 379CR96
