It is designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems where both particulate capture and odor control are priorities. The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media captures over 90% of airborne particles between 3 and 10 microns, and 80% to 90% of particles between 1 and 3 microns. The added carbon layer addresses odors from smoke, pets, and household chemicals. This listing includes 6 filters. The nominal size is 8x30x1, with an actual size of 7.5 x 29.5 x 0.75 inches. HVAC technicians and homeowners performing routine filter maintenance are the primary installers.

This filter is sized for air handlers, furnaces, and central AC systems that require a custom-dimension filter not available in standard catalog sizes. The reinforced 2-part frame construction is used when the dimensions require cutting down or combining standard filter frames; tape may be used in assembly. This construction method maintains structural integrity during installation and normal system operation. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and local particulate levels. It is suitable for residential homes and light-commercial spaces with moderate to high filtration demands.

Key Features

MERV 12 rating captures over 90% of particles from 3 to 10 microns including dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke

Activated carbon layer reduces common household odors from smoke, pets, and chemicals

Electrostatically charged synthetic media attracts and holds airborne particulates without excessive airflow restriction

Reinforced 2-part frame provides added structural durability compared to single-frame construction

Custom-cut to nominal 8x30x1 inches with actual dimensions of 7.5 x 29.5 x 0.75 inches

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Custom-made to the nominal size listed above for HVAC systems requiring non-standard filter dimensions. Verify the actual opening in your air handler or furnace filter slot before ordering. Custom sizes are non-returnable; actual installed clearance should be within 0.125 inches of the actual filter dimensions.

Installation Notes

Filter replacement is a routine maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians and qualified homeowners. Before replacing the filter, set the thermostat to the off position to stop airflow through the system. Confirm airflow direction marked on the filter frame matches the direction of airflow in the duct or air handler before seating the filter. Because this is a custom-fabricated size, measure the existing filter slot carefully before ordering, as custom-made filters are not eligible for return.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 12 Pleated Plus Carbon

MERV Rating: 12

Nominal Size: 8 x 30 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 7.5 x 29.5 x 0.75 inches

Quantity Per Box: 6

Filter Media: Electrostatically charged synthetic with activated carbon

Frame Construction: Reinforced 2-part custom frame, made in USA

Package Weight: 7 pounds

Package Width: 21 inches

Package Height: 32 inches

Package Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 8x30x1CustomM12+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/40183279e2f4016dccc996e0811481b0_39be8588-0d71-439e-a540-94546a2af53f.jpg?v=1789994581
