Sold in a 6-pack, each filter measures 8 x 18 x 0.75 inches actual size and is hand-fabricated to those exact dimensions. The activated carbon layer targets odors alongside the high-efficiency filter media, which captures over 90% of airborne particles between 1 and 10 microns and 75% to 95% of particles between 0.3 and 1 micron. Licensed HVAC technicians and HVAC maintenance professionals typically install this filter in forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems where a non-standard slot size prevents the use of stock filter sizes.

This filter fits custom-dimension filter housings in forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems where nominal 8x18x1 sizing does not match the actual opening. The actual dimensions are 8 x 18 x 0.75 inches, fabricated to exact measurements entered at time of order. Because frames are cut down or combined from standard filter stock, verify the actual opening with a tape measure before ordering. The actual width and length of the existing filter should be within 1/8 inch of the ordered dimensions. This product is non-returnable due to its custom-made nature.

Key Features

MERV 14 filtration captures over 90% of particles between 1 and 10 microns, including pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, and bacteria

Activated carbon layer reduces household odors from cooking, pets, and smoke

Reinforced 2-part frame provides structural integrity and supports consistent airflow over the filter life

Custom-fabricated to exact dimensions - actual size 8 x 18 x 0.75 inches

6 filters per box; recommended replacement interval is every 30 to 90 days for 1-inch filters depending on environment

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed for forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems requiring a custom filter opening with actual dimensions of 8 x 18 x 0.75 inches. Measure the existing filter opening to the nearest 1/8 inch before ordering to confirm fitment. Custom sizes are not eligible for return.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down or set the thermostat to OFF before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the air handler. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Because this is a 1-inch filter, inspect monthly and replace every 30 to 90 days based on system runtime and local air quality conditions.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 14 Plus Carbon

MERV Rating: 14

Nominal Size: 8 x 18 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 8 x 18 x 0.75 inches

Quantity per Box: 6

Weight: 2.5 pounds

Box Width: 21 inches

Box Height: 16 inches

Box Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

UPC: 848224162513

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 8x18x1ExactCustomM14+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/e454bb5ddc4a9cc907a9560dec712355_d5e292b0-097e-45c8-afa7-d9d48df9602f.jpg?v=1789951665
