Each filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media combined with an activated carbon layer to capture airborne particulates and reduce common household odors. The nominal size is 8 x 16 x 1 inches with an actual size of 7.5 x 15.5 x 0.75 inches. This six-pack is manufactured to order in the USA and built with a reinforced two-part frame for added structural durability. HVAC technicians and homeowners install these filters to maintain airflow efficiency and indoor air quality between service calls.

This filter is suited for residential forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning systems where a custom-size filter is required. The MERV 8 rating makes it appropriate for homes with moderate particulate loads, including those with pets or allergy concerns. MERV 8 filters capture 70 to 85 percent of airborne particles between 3 and 10 microns, including lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and odor-causing contaminants. Because this is a custom-made size, it is produced by cutting down or combining standard filter frames and may incorporate tape at the seams. This is normal for custom fabrication and does not affect filtration performance.

Key Features

MERV 8 Plus Carbon media captures particles 3 to 10 microns and reduces common household odors

Electrostatically charged synthetic media attracts and holds airborne particulates

Reinforced two-part frame provides added durability and consistent shape retention

Custom-cut to 7.5 x 15.5 x 0.75 inches actual size for non-standard filter openings

Sold as a six-pack to reduce replacement frequency and per-unit cost

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as a custom-size OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces and central AC systems requiring a nominal 8 x 16 x 1 inch filter slot. Confirm airflow direction and match the arrow on the filter frame to the direction of airflow toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air conditions. Custom-fabricated filters may include taped seams, which is standard for this construction method and does not indicate a defect.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 8 Plus Carbon

Nominal Size: 8 x 16 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 7.5 x 15.5 x 0.75 inches

MERV Rating: 8

Particle Capture Efficiency: 70 to 85 percent for particles 3 to 10 microns

Quantity per Box: 6

Weight: 4.5 pounds

Box Dimensions: 21 x 16 x 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 8x16x1CustomM8+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/6ddac352816a885602759fc7a6c0d24c_cdb1740f-dd8f-4949-a883-5d3ea6a9e3aa.jpg?v=1790063303
