This filter ships as a 6-pack with a nominal size of 6x12x1 and an actual size of 6 x 12 x 0.75 inches. The carbon layer targets common household odors while the MERV 8 media captures airborne particles in the 3-10 micron range, including dust, pollen, lint, mold spores, and pet dander. HVAC technicians and homeowners with non-standard filter openings order this SKU specifically because it is cut to exact measurements, not nominal dimensions. Installation requires confirming the actual opening size before ordering.

This filter is suited for residential forced-air systems, split systems, and package units where a non-standard slot size makes standard shelf filters an improper fit. The custom construction involves cutting down or combining standard filter frames, and tape may be used depending on the finished dimensions. The recommended replacement interval for 1-inch filters is every 30 to 90 days, depending on air quality conditions, pet presence, and system runtime. The filter is assembled in the USA and arrives ready to drop in to the measured opening without modification.

Key Features

MERV 8 filtration captures 70 to 85 percent of particles between 3 and 10 microns, including pollen, lint, dust, pet dander, and mold spores

Activated carbon layer reduces common household odors passing through the air stream

Custom exact-size construction based on actual stated dimensions, not nominal sizing - measure before ordering

Reinforced 2-part frame designed for balanced filtration and consistent airflow support over the filter life

Pack of 6 filters per order

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as a custom exact-size replacement for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems requiring a filter with an actual size of 6 x 12 x 0.75 inches. Power down or set the thermostat to off before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the air handler. Verify the actual slot dimensions using a tape measure before installing - the filter actual size of 6 x 12 x 0.75 inches must match the measured opening to within 1/8 inch.
