It is designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems, fitting furnaces and air handlers where a 23x25x1 nominal filter slot is specified. The actual dimensions are 23 x 25 x 0.75 inches. The filter media combines MERV 8 mechanical filtration with an activated carbon layer to capture particulate matter and reduce common household odors. HVAC technicians and experienced homeowners install this filter when standard nominal sizes do not match the actual filter opening in the equipment cabinet.

This filter is suited for gas furnaces, electric air handlers, and central air conditioning systems that use a 1-inch filter rack with a 23x25 nominal opening. Because this is a custom exact-size product, the actual dimensions of 23 x 25 x 0.75 inches are cut to match the opening precisely. The MERV 8 rating makes it appropriate for residential environments where capturing pollen, pet dander, dust, lint, mold spores, and odors is a priority without significantly restricting airflow. The 6-pack quantity supports a full seasonal replacement schedule, with Nordic Pure recommending filter changes every 30 to 90 days for 1-inch filters depending on environmental conditions.

Key Features

Custom exact-size construction cut to 23 x 25 x 0.75 inches actual dimensions for a precise fit in non-standard filter openings

MERV 8 filtration captures 70 to 85 percent of airborne particles between 3 and 10 microns, including lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores

Activated carbon layer reduces common household odors alongside standard particulate capture

Reinforced 2-part filter frame provides added structural durability while supporting balanced airflow

Made in the USA

Sold as a 6-pack to support regular 30-to-90-day replacement intervals

Compatibility

Designed as a custom exact-size replacement for residential and light-commercial furnace and air handler filter racks with a 23x25x1 nominal opening and an actual clearance of approximately 23 x 25 x 0.75 inches. Measure the existing filter opening before ordering, as this product is custom-made and cannot be returned.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified service professional. Before replacing the filter, shut down the furnace or air handler at the equipment disconnect or thermostat to prevent unfiltered air from passing through the system during the swap. Confirm the actual opening dimensions with a tape measure prior to ordering, as the actual filter size is 0.75 inches thick and must seat flush within the filter rack without gaps. Because this is a custom-made product, verify dimensions before installation and do not attempt to trim or modify the filter frame.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 8 Plus Carbon pleated air filter

MERV Rating: 8

Nominal Size: 23x25x1

Actual Size: 23 x 25 x 0.75 inches

Quantity per Box: 6

Filter Thickness: 0.75 inches

Weight: 6 pounds

Box Width: 26 inches

Box Height: 26 inches

Box Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 23x25x1ExactCustomM8+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/6ddac352816a885602759fc7a6c0d24c_4e28c11c-2988-4a34-9d95-cfacb13bb238.jpg?v=1790038381
