Rated MERV 12, it captures over 90% of airborne particles between 3 and 10 microns and 80% to 90% of particles between 1 and 3 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and viruses. The activated carbon layer addresses common household odors. Each filter measures 20 x 28 x 0.75 inches actual size. This six-pack is hand-fabricated to the exact dimensions listed and is installed by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners maintaining forced-air systems.

This filter fits forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems with a 20x28x1 nominal filter slot that requires an exact-fit custom size rather than a standard off-the-shelf filter. Custom sizing is necessary when the actual opening does not accept a standard nominal filter without gaps. Because the filter is made to order to the precise dimensions entered at purchase, it is intended for residential and light-commercial applications where standard sizes are unavailable. NORDIC PURE recommends changing 1-inch filters every 30 to 90 days depending on the environment and air quality conditions at the installation site.

Key Features

MERV 12 rating captures over 90% of particles 3 to 10 microns and 80% to 90% of particles 1 to 3 microns, including lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and viruses

Activated carbon layer reduces common household odors in the airstream

Custom-fabricated to exact listed dimensions - actual size 20 x 28 x 0.75 inches - for a precise fit in non-standard filter slots

Reinforced 2-part frame provides structural support and balanced airflow resistance throughout the filter life

High-efficiency filtration designed to maintain low airflow resistance and reduce strain on the HVAC blower

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed for forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems with a nominal 20x28x1 filter opening that requires an exact custom-cut size. Verify the actual opening dimensions with a tape measure before ordering, as this filter is manufactured to the exact dimensions specified at purchase and is not eligible for return.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect power at the service disconnect or breaker before removing or inserting the filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Because this is a custom-cut exact-size filter, measure the existing filter slot to the nearest 1/8 inch before ordering to ensure proper fit.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 12 Plus Carbon

MERV Rating: 12

Nominal Size: 20 x 28 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 20 x 28 x 0.75 inches

Quantity per Box: 6

Weight: 6 pounds

Box Width: 21 inches

Box Height: 32 inches

Box Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

UPC: 848224157489

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 20x28x1ExactCustomM12+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/40183279e2f4016dccc996e0811481b0_ea17e087-9751-44c6-8a03-57bd6b85d7b3.jpg?v=1789983052
