Rated MERV 14 with an activated carbon layer, this filter captures over 90% of airborne particles between 1 and 10 microns and 75% to 95% of particles between 0.3 and 1 microns. The carbon media targets odors from smoke, pets, and household chemicals in addition to the standard mechanical filtration. Sold in a 6-pack, these filters are hand-fabricated to the nominal size of 20 x 22-1/4 x 1 inches, with an actual size of 20 x 22.25 x 0.75 inches. A reinforced two-part frame supports structural integrity and consistent airflow. HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter in forced-air furnaces and air handlers where a standard size will not fit.

This filter is intended for forced-air furnace and central AC systems that require a non-standard slot size. The 1-inch depth fits shallow filter tracks common in older or custom-built air handler cabinets. At MERV 14, the filter is appropriate for households with allergy or asthma concerns, pet dander, tobacco smoke, or any environment where fine particle and odor control is a priority. Because these filters are made to order based on the exact dimensions provided at purchase, they are suited to applications where off-the-shelf sizes will not seal properly against the filter rack. Recommended replacement interval for 1-inch filters is every 30 to 90 days depending on environment and system runtime.

Key Features

MERV 14 rating captures over 90% of particles from 1 to 10 microns, including pollen, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria, and smoke

Activated carbon layer adsorbs household odors, smoke, and volatile organic compounds

Custom exact-cut to nominal 20 x 22-1/4 x 1 inches; actual size 20 x 22.25 x 0.75 inches

Reinforced two-part frame provides structural support and balanced airflow resistance

Sold as a 6-pack for extended service without repeat ordering

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as an exact-size replacement for forced-air furnace and central AC systems requiring a nominal 20 x 22-1/4 x 1 inch filter slot. Measure the actual opening before ordering; custom sizes are fabricated to the exact dimensions specified and are not eligible for return.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified homeowner. Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Verify airflow direction and align the arrow on the filter frame with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Because this is a custom-made product, confirm all three dimensions with a tape measure before ordering; the actual size is typically 1/4 inch smaller in length and width than the nominal listed size.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 14 Plus Carbon

Nominal Size: 20 x 22-1/4 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 20 x 22.25 x 0.75 inches

MERV Rating: 14

Quantity per Pack: 6

Weight: 5 pounds

Box Width: 21 inches

Box Height: 26 inches

Box Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 20x22_1/4x1ExactCustomM14+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/e454bb5ddc4a9cc907a9560dec712355_cca3aba1-ddb0-4dce-8326-59618b334bc4.jpg?v=1789961773
