Nominal size is 20x20x4; actual size is 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.625 inches. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material bonded to a flat activated carbon panel. It captures airborne particulates down to 0.30 microns and adsorbs odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame and internal metal mesh support grid keep the pleats stable under normal HVAC airflow. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable building engineers specify this filter for residential and light commercial forced-air systems where both particle capture and odor control are required.

This filter is designed for 20x20x4 nominal filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems. It is rated equivalent to MPR 2800 for cross-reference purposes. Note: the actual depth is 3.625 inches, not 4 inches. If your existing filter has an actual depth of 4.375 inches, as found in some Honeywell and Lennox units, this filter will not fit correctly; consult the 20x20x5 product line instead. This pack of six is well-suited for households with pets, allergy concerns, or elevated indoor air quality requirements.

Key Features

MERV 14 electrostatic synthetic media captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron particles

Activated carbon layer adsorbs odors, VOCs, and gaseous contaminants with each air pass

Hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and electrostatically charged filter media

Heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame with internal metal mesh pleat support

Equivalent to MPR 2800 for cross-reference with other rating systems

Made in the USA; sold as a 6-pack

Compatibility

Designed for forced-air HVAC systems that accept a 20x20x4 nominal filter. Actual installed dimensions are 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.625 inches; verify your filter slot depth before ordering. Units requiring a filter with an actual depth of 4.375 inches require a different product.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified building maintenance staff. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing or installing the filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace every 3 to 6 months under normal operating conditions, or more frequently during renovation work or periods of high particulate load.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: Pleated MERV 14 Plus Carbon

Nominal Size: 20x20x4 inches

Actual Size: 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.625 inches

MERV Rating: 14

Equivalent MPR Rating: 2800

Particle Capture Efficiency: Greater than 90% at 1.0-10.0 microns; up to 85% at 0.30-1.0 microns

Filter Media: Electrostatically charged synthetic with activated carbon panel

Frame Material: Moisture-resistant beverage board with metal mesh support grid

Quantity per Box: 6

Package Weight: 15 pounds

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 20x20x4M14+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/675303ef3766a89fd0a4a63968a5389d_eaf5cad5-df38-434e-a930-e584c137ea1b.jpg?v=1789985935
