The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates including dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, bacteria, and virus carriers. Each filter carries a nominal size of 16x20x4 inches with an actual size of 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches. MERV 14 performance captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron particles. The frame is moisture-resistant beverage board with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for structural integrity.

This filter is suited for forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems in residential homes and small commercial spaces where occupant health and indoor air quality are priorities. It is a strong choice for households with allergy sufferers, pet owners, or anyone in areas with elevated smog or particulate levels. The hypoallergenic, antimicrobial filter media helps prevent mold and bacteria growth within the filter itself. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions. Note: if replacing a Honeywell or Lennox 16x20x4 filter with an actual depth of 4.375 inches, the correct replacement is the 16x20x5 variant, not this model.

Key Features

MERV 14 filtration captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron particles

Electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial synthetic filter media

Moisture-resistant beverage board frame with metal mesh pleat support grid

Equivalent to MPR 2800 rated filters

Actual size 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches - verify fit before ordering

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as a nominal 16x20x4 replacement filter for forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems. Actual size is 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches - measure your existing filter slot before ordering. This filter is not a direct replacement for units requiring a 4.375-inch actual depth filter such as certain Honeywell and Lennox 16x20x4 models; see the 16x20x5 variant for those applications.

Installation Notes

Air filters of this type are typically installed by homeowners, facility maintenance staff, or HVAC technicians during routine system service. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.

Technical Specifications

Filter Rating: MERV 14

MPR Equivalent: MPR 2800

Nominal Size: 16x20x4 inches

Actual Size: 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches

Quantity per Pack: 2

Filter Media: Electrostatically charged synthetic, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial

Frame Material: Moisture-resistant beverage board

Support Grid: Metal mesh bonded to pleats

Weight: 6.5 pounds

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 16x20x4M14-2

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/c8d84ee209d4bc733694ae2c20ac1e36_9821f202-19ac-476a-a0f6-58b3f7a1b6d5.jpg?v=1789990328
