It is designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning units. The filter media is electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial, capturing lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, and bacteria with each air pass. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame adds structural integrity. MERV 8 performance is equivalent to MPR 800 on competing rating scales, following ASHRAE filtration standards. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners typically handle installation.

This filter fits standard HVAC return-air filter slots calling for a 13x21.5x1 nominal size, making it a direct Carrier replacement and suitable for comparable residential forced-air furnace and AC systems. It performs well in homes with pets or allergy sufferers, where fine particulate loads are higher than average. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every one to three months under normal conditions, or more frequently in high-dust or high-dander environments. The six-pack format reduces the frequency of reorders for routine maintenance cycles.

Key Features

MERV 8 rated filtration equivalent to MPR 800 - follows ASHRAE efficiency standards

Electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial filter media

Captures lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, and bacteria

Moisture-resistant beverage board frame resists sagging in humid return-air plenums

Actual size 13 x 21.5 x 0.75 inches - measure existing filter before ordering

Made in the USA - sold in a six-pack for convenient stocking

Compatibility

Designed as a Carrier replacement for HVAC systems requiring a 13x21.5x1 nominal filter size. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the thermostat and disconnect power at the disconnect or breaker before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower. Inspect the filter monthly and replace on a schedule appropriate to the site conditions and occupant sensitivities.

Technical Specifications

Filter Rating: MERV 8 (equivalent to MPR 800)

Nominal Size: 13 x 21.5 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 13 x 21.5 x 0.75 inches

Quantity per Pack: 6 filters

Frame Material: Moisture-resistant beverage board

Filter Media: Electrostatic, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial pleated media

Country of Origin: USA

Package Weight: 3 pounds

Package Dimensions: 15 x 26 x 7 inches

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 13x21.5x1CM8-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/41f1dab49f842422cb92243e031bf4f8_304e66a9-45ad-4d66-b6cb-b632bc0e9214.jpg?v=1789985904
