Constructed from electrostatically charged synthetic media, it captures airborne particulates including lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and odor-causing contaminants. The carbon layer adds an additional stage of odor reduction beyond standard MERV 8 filtration. This filter is made to exact dimensions by cutting down or combining standard filter frames, resulting in a unit built to fit non-standard filter slots without modification. HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance professionals are the primary installers.

This filter is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems where a non-standard slot size prevents the use of off-the-shelf filters. The exact 13 x 20 x 0.75 inch actual size makes it appropriate for systems where a nominally sized filter would leave gaps. The electrostatically charged media supports low airflow resistance, reducing strain on blower motors and maintaining system efficiency across the filter service interval. Nordic Pure recommends replacement every 30 to 90 days depending on environmental conditions and particulate load.

Key Features

MERV 8 rated media captures 70 to 85 percent of airborne particles between 3 and 10 microns, including pollen, dust, and pet dander

Activated carbon layer reduces common household odors beyond standard mechanical filtration

Electrostatically charged synthetic media attracts and holds fine particulates without significantly restricting airflow

Exact custom sizing at 13 x 20 x 0.75 inches actual fits non-standard filter slots where nominal sizes will not seal properly

Reinforced 2-part frame construction provides structural support during the full service interval

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as a custom exact-size replacement filter for HVAC systems requiring a 13 x 20 x 0.75 inch actual filter slot. This is a non-standard custom size; measure the existing filter slot carefully before ordering, as this product is not eligible for return.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or facilities maintenance personnel. Power down or set the thermostat to off before opening the filter compartment to prevent unfiltered air from being drawn into the system during changeout. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower before seating the filter. Because this is a custom exact-size filter, verify the actual slot dimensions with a tape measure prior to ordering, as returns are not accepted on custom-made sizes.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: MERV 8 Plus Carbon

MERV Rating: 8

Nominal Size: 13x20x1 inches

Actual Size: 13 x 20 x 0.75 inches (Exact Custom)

Quantity per Box: 6

Package Weight: 4.5 pounds

Box Width: 21 inches

Box Height: 16 inches

Box Depth: 7 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 13x20x1ExactCustomM8+C-6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/6ddac352816a885602759fc7a6c0d24c_e4bec3c8-02df-45ed-94cf-aa19f18f100d.jpg?v=1789955841
