Sold in a box of 12, each filter carries a MERV 13 rating equivalent to MPR 1900-2200, making it effective at capturing fine particles including bacteria, smoke, mold spores, and allergens. The synthetic polyester fiber media uses a self-supporting mini pleat construction with 2.5 times more pleats than standard 1-inch filters, increasing usable surface area without significantly restricting airflow. The frame is a two-part, moisture-resistant beverage board designed to hold its shape in the air stream.

This filter is suited for residential homes, multi-family units, and light commercial spaces where improved indoor air quality is a priority. Typical applications include year-round HVAC maintenance in environments with pets, allergy concerns, renovation dust, or elevated particulate levels. The nominal size is 12x24x1, fitting standard filter slots calling for that dimension. The actual size is 11.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches, which is the measurement that governs whether the filter physically fits a given unit. Replacing the filter every 2 to 3 months is recommended under normal operating conditions, though high-dust environments may require more frequent changes.

Key Features

MERV 13 rating captures bacteria, smoke particles, virus carriers, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and mold spores

2.5 times more pleats than standard 1-inch filters, providing greater surface area and extended filter life

Self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber media maintains pleat spacing without wire backing

Two-part moisture-resistant beverage board frame resists warping and blowout

Actual size 11.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches ensures precise fit in 12x24x1 nominal filter slots

Manufactured in the USA; pack of 12 reduces per-filter cost for scheduled maintenance programs

Compatibility

Designed to fit HVAC systems using a 12x24x1 nominal filter slot. Always verify the actual opening dimensions against the filter actual size of 11.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ. Nominal filter dimensions printed on equipment do not always match the physical slot measurement.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel; licensed contractors should follow local mechanical codes when servicing air handling equipment. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from entering the blower section. Note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and orient it so the arrow points toward the blower, away from the return air side. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.

Technical Specifications

MERV Rating: 13

Equivalent MPR: 1900-2200

Nominal Size: 12x24x1 inches

Actual Size: 11.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches

Filter Media: Self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber

Frame Material: Two-part moisture-resistant beverage board

Quantity Per Box: 12

Weight: 8 pounds

Box Dimensions: 15 x 26 x 11 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 12x24x1M13MiniPleat-12

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/24cfefacc1601f928dae2130e933fdb3_5540f499-32eb-4943-b9af-d78b650de952.jpg?v=1790064049
