The nominal size is 12x20x1 with an actual size of 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. The mini pleat design incorporates 2.5 times the number of pleats found in standard filters, which increases media surface area and improves particle capture without creating excess static pressure drop. The self-supporting polyester media resists mold growth, and the frame is a two-part moisture-resistant beverage board construction. A licensed HVAC technician or experienced DIYer can install this filter.

This filter is suited for residential homes and commercial buildings that use standard 1-inch filter slots in forced-air HVAC equipment. It captures lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and mold spores. The MERV 8 rating is equivalent to MPR 600-800. Recommended replacement interval is every 2 to 3 months depending on environmental conditions, occupancy, and system runtime. During high-activity periods such as construction or renovation, more frequent changes are advised.

Key Features

MERV 8 rating, equivalent to MPR 600-800, for effective mid-range particle filtration

Mini pleat design with 2.5 times more pleats than standard filters for increased surface area

Actual size of 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches for precise fit in compatible filter slots

Self-supporting polyester media resists mold growth and maintains shape under airflow

Heavy-duty two-part moisture-resistant beverage board frame

Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems that accept a 12x20x1 nominal filter. Always verify actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ.

Installation Notes

Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat or disconnect before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower, not the return air duct. Confirm the actual slot dimensions in your air handler or furnace cabinet match the 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inch actual size before inserting. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.

Technical Specifications

MERV Rating: 8

MPR Equivalent: 600-800

Nominal Size: 12x20x1 inches

Actual Size: 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches

Quantity Per Box: 3

Filter Media: Self-supporting polyester mini pleat

Frame Material: Two-part moisture-resistant beverage board

Weight: 2.5 pounds

Box Width: 21 inches

Box Height: 16 inches

Box Depth: 4 inches

Country of Origin: USA

UPC: 848224031161

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 12x20x1M8MiniPleat-3

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/fdaf5b2b429b844af823101bfb58a419_facb6112-11d8-41e7-96a6-c4ac96f64fe7.jpg?v=1790038188
