Each pack contains four filters with a nominal size of 12x12x1 inches and an actual size of 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches for a precise fit in standard filter slots. The pleated media provides increased surface area compared to standard-depth filters, capturing fine particulates including smoke, bacteria, mold spores, pet allergens, and ultrafine pollutants. A 2-part reinforced frame resists bending and bowing during operation. This filter is suited for systems where indoor air quality is a primary concern without sacrificing acceptable airflow resistance.

The 12x12x1M16-4 is appropriate for residential forced-air furnaces and air handlers as well as light commercial HVAC equipment that accepts a 12x12x1 nominal filter. It is a practical choice for environments with occupants sensitive to airborne allergens, pet dander, or smoke. Nordic Pure recommends replacing 1-inch filters every 30 to 90 days depending on system runtime, occupancy, and local air quality conditions. Each purchase includes four filters to support a consistent replacement schedule.

Key Features

MERV 16 filtration rating captures smoke, bacteria, mold spores, pet allergens, and ultrafine pollutants

Actual size 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches for accurate fit in nominal 12x12x1 filter openings

Pleated media design increases filtration surface area while maintaining low airflow resistance

2-part reinforced frame resists bending, bowing, and deformation over the filter service life

Comes in a 4-pack to support a 30-to-90-day replacement interval

Manufactured in the USA

Compatibility

Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems that accept a nominal 12x12x1 inch air filter in furnace, air handler, or return-air filter rack applications.

Installation Notes

Air filters in this size and MERV rating are typically installed by HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals, though knowledgeable homeowners can perform the replacement. Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before accessing the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow into the blower. At MERV 16, verify the system blower is rated to handle the static pressure associated with high-efficiency filtration before installation.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: Pleated Air Filter

MERV Rating: 16

Nominal Size: 12 x 12 x 1 inches

Actual Size: 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches

Quantity per Box: 4

Weight: 2.22 pounds

Box Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 5 inches

Country of Origin: USA

Standard Information

Brand: NORDIC PURE

Manufacturer Part Number: 12x12x1M16-4

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/76f70d11d6807b3027102f67d15ec0f8_8dcbc4d7-9da3-41bd-8370-9865727700aa.jpg?v=1789955188
