It functions as a male adapter with a hose shank end, designed for quick-connect fluid transfer applications. Rated to a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this fitting allows tools-free connection and disconnection of hoses and lines in demanding service environments. Polypropylene construction provides resistance to a wide range of chemicals, making it suitable for agriculture, industrial, and general fluid handling systems. Plumbers, irrigation techs, and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of fitting where fast, repeated hose connections are required.

This cam and groove coupling is used in applications where quick hose disconnection is needed without threaded fittings. The Part E configuration features a male adapter body on one end and a hose shank on the other, allowing direct attachment to hose assemblies. Typical installations include chemical transfer, water supply lines, irrigation systems, and light industrial fluid handling setups. The polypropylene material makes it appropriate for corrosive fluid service where metal fittings would be unsuitable.

Key Features

Part E style: male adapter body with hose shank end for direct hose attachment

Maximum working pressure rated at 125 psi

Polypropylene construction offers broad chemical resistance

Cam and groove design allows tools-free connect and disconnect

Lightweight material reduces stress on hose assemblies in repeated-use applications

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cam and groove fitting compatible with standard Part E cam and groove hose assemblies and couplers following industry-standard dimensions for this coupling style.

Installation Notes

Installation of cam and groove fittings is typically performed by plumbers, irrigation technicians, or industrial maintenance personnel. Before connecting or disconnecting, relieve all system pressure and ensure the line is fully depressurized. Verify that the hose shank is properly inserted and secured with the appropriate hose clamp or crimp ferrule before pressurizing the system. Inspect cam arms and gasket seating for wear or damage prior to each use to prevent leaks under pressure.

Technical Specifications

Coupling Type: Cam and Groove

Style: Part E

Coupling Descriptor: Male Adapter Hose Shank

Material: Polypropylene

Maximum Pressure: 125 psi

Standard Information

Brand: NEWAGE INDUSTRIES

Manufacturer Part Number: 5611480
