It provides a clean, durable gripping surface for pulling doors open without damaging the door face. The plate measures 15 inches in overall length and 3.5 inches in width, with a 6-inch grip length centered on the plate. At 0.73 pounds, it is lightweight without sacrificing rigidity. The aluminum construction and matching aluminum finish make it suitable for standard interior and exterior door applications where corrosion resistance and low maintenance are priorities.

This pull plate is appropriate for use on wood, hollow metal, and composite doors in commercial storefronts, office buildings, schools, and residential entryways. It is typically installed by carpenters, general contractors, or facilities maintenance personnel. The 1.75-inch projection brings the grip surface away from the door face, allowing a natural hand clearance for users. It suits both new construction and retrofit installations where an existing pull has worn or been damaged.

Key Features

Overall length of 15 inches provides a substantial mounting footprint for secure attachment

6-inch grip length offers comfortable hand clearance for pulling

1.75-inch projection keeps the grip surface clear of the door face

Aluminum construction resists corrosion and keeps weight at 0.73 pounds

Aluminum finish blends with standard commercial and residential door hardware

Lightweight profile suits both new construction and replacement installs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pull plate for standard commercial and residential doors accepting surface-mounted pull hardware.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a carpenter or general contractor using standard hand tools and appropriate fasteners for the door material. Confirm door thickness and stile width before laying out mounting hole locations. For metal doors, use self-tapping or through-bolted fasteners rated for the door gauge. Always follow local building codes regarding door hardware accessibility requirements, such as ADA clearance guidelines, when positioning the pull height.

Technical Specifications

Overall Length: 15 inches

Width: 3.5 inches

Grip Length: 6 inches

Projection: 1.75 inches

Material: Aluminum

Finish: Aluminum

Weight: 0.73 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: NATIONAL HARDWARE

Manufacturer Part Number: N270-404
