Constructed from plated steel, this fitting delivers the mechanical strength required for industrial and commercial piping applications. Both connection ends measure 2-1/2 inches, allowing a direct, same-size transition between hose assemblies and grooved pipe systems. Weighing 2 pounds, the CNG-250-SP is a solid, durable component suited for installation by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on piping and hose distribution systems.

This combination king nipple is used where a hose assembly must connect directly to a grooved-end piping system without additional adapters. Typical applications include commercial and industrial fluid distribution, fire protection system tie-ins, and general mechanical piping where hose and grooved pipe must be joined. The grooved end is compatible with Victaulic-style grooved couplings. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit work in facilities requiring reliable hose-to-pipe transitions.

Key Features

Dual-end configuration: 2-1/2 inch hose barbed on one end, 2-1/2 inch grooved on the other

Plated steel construction for corrosion resistance and mechanical durability

Grooved end designed for use with Victaulic-style grooved couplings

Same-size connections on both ends eliminate the need for additional reducers

Suitable for industrial and commercial fluid handling piping systems

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for industrial and commercial hose and grooved piping systems using 2-1/2 inch connections. Compatible with Victaulic-style grooved couplings per the grooved-end designation.

Installation Notes

Installation of this combination king nipple should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before removing any existing fittings or beginning installation. Ensure the hose barb end is secured with an appropriate clamp rated for the hose and system pressure in use. Verify grooved coupling engagement and follow applicable IPC or local mechanical code requirements for grooved piping assembly.

Technical Specifications

Connection Size 1: 2-1/2 inches

Connection Type 1: Hose Barbed

Connection Size 2: 2-1/2 inches

Connection Type 2: Grooved (Victaulic-style)

Material: Plated Steel

Weight: 2 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: MIDLAND INDUSTRIES

Manufacturer Part Number: CNG-250-SP

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/3305084e16b68a2b45820765b2b68283_e0776115-94fa-4e62-865a-178ddb6a99ac.jpg?v=1791752129
