It connects 1/8-inch compression tubing to a 1/8-inch female National Pipe Thread (FNPTF) port, making a direction change in a fluid or gas line while transitioning between connection types. The fitting is rated for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F and uses a 5/16-24 x 1/8-27 thread specification. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting when routing copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing through tight spaces that require a 90-degree turn into a threaded female port. Its compact dimensions and lead-free construction make it suitable for potable water and other regulated applications.

This elbow fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and pneumatic systems where a compression-to-female-NPT transition at a 90-degree angle is required. Typical install scenarios include instrument lines, water supply connections, and control tubing runs. The fitting accommodates copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing and is suited for systems that require lead-free materials per applicable plumbing codes.

Key Features

90-degree angle allows direction changes in tight plumbing or instrument line routing

Compression x FNPTF connection provides a tool-assisted, leak-resistant seal without soldering

Lead-free brass construction meets lead-free requirements for potable water applications

Wide temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F suits diverse operating environments

Compatible with copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing

Compact profile: 0.45 inches tall, 0.55 inches long, 1.2 inches wide

Compatibility

Designed for use with copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing in compression-to-FNPTF applications. Shut off the water or system pressure and relieve any residual pressure before removing or installing fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then tighten with a wrench - do not overtighten, as this can crack the ferrule or damage plastic tubing. Verify all connections for leaks after returning the system to service.

Technical Specifications

Connection Size 1: 1/8 inch

Connection Type 1: Compression

Connection Size 2: 1/8 inch

Connection Type 2: FNPTF

Thread Specification: 5/16-24 x 1/8-27

Material: Lead-Free Brass

Temperature Range: -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F

Compatible Tubing: Copper, Aluminum, Plastic

Height: 0.45 inches

Length: 0.55 inches

Width: 1.2 inches

Weight: 0.035 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: MIDLAND INDUSTRIES

Manufacturer Part Number: 700070-0202

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/5cecf29d5933d0cd871930d9c14e7ae2_5a7ea92e-cc46-4ad3-8981-90e830d6813d.jpg?v=1791717542
