The larger end accepts a 1-1/4 inch FPT connection with a 1-1/4-11-1/2 thread form, while the smaller end accepts a 3/4 inch FPT connection with a 3/4-14 thread form. Machined from 316 stainless steel barstock, the fitting carries a 1000 lb pressure class rating. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors where a threaded diameter reduction is needed in a run of pipe.

This fitting is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems handling a range of media. Rated for air, water, oil, natural gas, and steam service, it fits applications where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are required. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for environments where standard carbon steel or brass fittings would be vulnerable to corrosion, including coastal installations, chemical-adjacent services, and steam lines.

Key Features

1-1/4 in FPT x 3/4 in FPT reducing configuration for inline diameter transitions

316 stainless steel barstock construction for superior corrosion resistance

1000 lb pressure class rating for demanding service conditions

Compatible with air, water, oil, natural gas, and steam media

Thread forms: 1-1/4-11-1/2 NPT x 3/4-14 NPT for standard pipe thread engagement

Lightweight at 0.97 pounds for easy handling during installation

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting replacement for 1000 lb class 316 stainless steel piping systems using standard NPT female thread connections in air, water, oil, natural gas, and steam service.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC codes for the service media involved. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing any existing fittings or threading in this coupling. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the specific media before making up the joint. Do not over-torque; hand-tighten and then wrench-tighten to a firm, leak-free engagement without cracking the fitting body.

Technical Specifications

Connection Size 1: 1-1/4 inches FPT

Connection Size 2: 3/4 inches FPT

Thread Form 1: 1-1/4-11-1/2 NPT

Thread Form 2: 3/4-14 NPT

Pressure Class: 1000 lb

Material: 316 Stainless Steel

Compatible Media: Air, Water, Oil, Natural Gas, Steam

Weight: 0.97 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: MIDLAND INDUSTRIES

Manufacturer Part Number: 63445B1

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/c6e349ae668c7908f8fbf124d74f3a73_3bc4c52f-6a1d-44e5-9d03-c7a01995790b.jpg?v=1791751156
