It features a 3-inch female coupler on one end and a 2-inch male adapter on the other, making it a reducing cam and groove fitting designed for quick-connect fluid transfer applications. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in a wide range of liquid handling environments. Licensed plumbers, irrigation technicians, and industrial fluid-system installers are the typical trades who source and install this fitting. At 4.409 pounds, the fitting is a solid, full-body brass unit built for repeated coupling cycles.

This fitting is suited for use in hose and pipe systems that require a fast-disconnect connection between different line sizes. The reducing configuration - 3 inches on the female coupler side to 2 inches on the male adapter side - is commonly used where flow transitions between larger supply lines and smaller distribution lines. It is applicable in agricultural irrigation, industrial fluid transfer, tank unloading, and similar bulk-liquid handling setups where cam and groove connections are standard.

Key Features

Type DA configuration: female coupler x male adapter in a single reducing body

3-inch female coupler end for connection to matching cam and groove adapters

2-inch male adapter end for connection to matching cam and groove couplers

Solid brass construction for corrosion resistance in liquid transfer service

Quick-connect cam and groove design allows tool-free coupling and decoupling

Minimum order quantity of 1 unit - available as a single fitting

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cam and groove fitting compatible with standard Type DA cam and groove systems using a 3-inch female coupler and 2-inch male adapter configuration per MIL-C-27487 industry standards where applicable.

Installation Notes

Installation of cam and groove fittings should be performed by a qualified plumber or fluid-system technician. Always depressurize and drain the line before connecting or disconnecting cam and groove fittings. Confirm that the cam arms are fully seated and locked before restoring flow. Inspect the gasket or seal on the female coupler end prior to each use to prevent leaks during operation.

Technical Specifications

Type: DA (Female Coupler x Male Adapter)

Connection Size 1: 3 inches (Female Coupler)

Connection Size 2: 2 inches (Male Adapter)

Material: Brass

Weight: 4.409 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: MIDLAND INDUSTRIES

Manufacturer Part Number: 449470
