It features 1/8-inch Male NPTF connections on both ends with a 1/8-27 thread standard, and measures 4 inches in length. Constructed from yellow brass, this nipple is rated to 1,200 psi and handles temperatures from -65 to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid and gas service applications. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians where a short threaded extension or connection is needed in a low-diameter piping run.

This nipple is used in residential and light commercial piping systems where 1/8-inch threaded connections are required. Typical applications include instrument lines, gauge ports, pilot lines, and other small-bore connections in gas, air, water, and hydraulic service. Its brass construction makes it well suited for use in environments where corrosion resistance is a priority and where the piping system includes mixed metals or dissimilar materials.

Key Features

1/8-inch Male NPTF on both ends for leak-resistant tapered thread engagement

1/8-27 thread specification for compatibility with standard NPTF fittings

Yellow brass construction resists corrosion in wet and mixed-metal systems

Rated to 1,200 psi for reliable performance in pressurized service

Wide temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F suits varied service conditions

4-inch length provides extension reach in tight or offset piping configurations

Compatibility

Rated for use with aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, iron, and steel pipe systems using 1/8-inch NPTF threaded connections.

Installation Notes

Install by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC codes for the intended service. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing threaded fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly.
