It controls airflow to individual zones by opening or closing on demand from a zone control panel or thermostat. The unit includes an integrated 2-wire actuator, simplifying wiring during installation. At 22 inches wide by 8 inches in duct size, it is sized for medium-capacity residential and light commercial rectangular ductwork. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of a multi-zone forced-air system to direct conditioned air where it is needed.

The HD-2208 is suited for rectangular duct installations in residential and light commercial zoning applications. Two-position dampers like this one operate in fully open or fully closed positions, making them compatible with standard on/off zone control systems. The 2-wire actuator reduces field wiring complexity compared to spring-return or three-wire designs. This damper is typically installed inline within the supply duct serving a specific zone.

Key Features

Two-position operation: fully open or fully closed for straightforward zone control

Integrated 2-wire actuator reduces wiring complexity

22x8 inch rectangular duct size fits medium-capacity supply runs

Rectangular form factor for direct inline duct installation

Compact depth of 8 inches suits tight mechanical spaces

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for rectangular ducted forced-air HVAC zoning systems using two-position control panels.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following local mechanical codes. Shut down the air handler and disconnect power to the zone control system before beginning installation. The damper is wired to a compatible zone control board using the 2-wire actuator leads. Verify duct dimensions and airflow direction before securing the damper in the duct section.

Technical Specifications

Duct Width: 22 inches

Duct Height: 8 inches

Actuator Type: 2-wire

Damper Operation: Two-position (open/closed)

Overall Width: 10 inches

Overall Height: 28 inches

Overall Depth: 8 inches

Weight: 8 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: IO HVAC CONTROLS

Manufacturer Part Number: HD-2208

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0270/4519/9983/files/e5da16f12b9e92e16483a7f802f4c9e0_e73393bb-b3c1-469e-9f8c-ff99d8c62b26.jpg?v=1791731837
