The unit mounts directly to the sink deck or countertop, eliminating the need for a separate wall-mounted switch location. Air activation means no electrical current passes through the push button itself, which reduces shock risk in wet environments near the sink. The STS-SO is a single-outlet model, providing one switched outlet for the disposal. It suits residential kitchens where a wall switch location is impractical, such as island installations.

This switch is well suited for residential kitchen installations where the disposal is located on an island or peninsula and running a wall switch circuit is not practical. It works with any brand of garbage disposal and mounts to a standard sink knockout or countertop hole. A licensed electrician or experienced plumber typically handles installation. The unit is compatible with standard residential electrical circuits used for disposal applications.

Key Features

Air-activated button keeps electrical components away from direct contact in wet sink environments

Mounts to sink deck or countertop for flexible placement independent of wall switch locations

Single switched outlet designed for garbage disposal control

Compatible with any brand of garbage disposal

Well suited for island and peninsula kitchen configurations

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install sink top switch compatible with any residential garbage disposal brand or model requiring a switched outlet control.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or plumber familiar with residential kitchen wiring and local NEC requirements. Shut off power at the circuit breaker before making any wiring connections. The switch mounts to a standard sink knockout or a drilled countertop hole using the hardware provided.
