Built with 100% synthetic media, it captures common airborne particulates including pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and dust while maintaining low static pressure drop across the filter face. The 18 x 18 x 2 inch nominal size fits a wide range of standard filter housings. This filter is suitable for projects pursuing USGBC-LEED certification credits related to indoor air quality.

The Aerostar 400 is intended for use in forced-air HVAC systems in residential homes, apartments, and light commercial buildings. It installs in standard return-air grilles, filter cabinets, and air handler filter tracks that accept a 2-inch depth filter. The synthetic media construction supports consistent airflow performance across the service life of the filter. Technicians and facility maintenance personnel typically specify this filter where a balance of filtration efficiency and airflow is required.

Key Features

MERV 8 efficiency rating captures pollen, mold spores, dander, and dust

100% synthetic media provides low resistance to airflow, supporting system energy efficiency

Nominal 18 x 18 x 2 inch size fits standard residential and light commercial filter housings

Eligible for use in USGBC-LEED certification projects targeting indoor air quality credits

White synthetic construction resists moisture-related degradation better than cellulose-based media

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for forced-air HVAC systems using a standard 18 x 18 x 2 inch filter slot.

Installation Notes

Filter installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or maintenance professional.
