The stick measures 1 inch wide, 3/8 inch thick, and 6 inches long, giving technicians a controlled grip for tight clearances and contoured surfaces. Coarse grade abrasive cuts aggressively on hard materials. The rubber binder provides slight flexibility, allowing the stick to conform to irregular surfaces better than rigid bonded abrasives.

This abrasive stick is suited for maintenance and fabrication applications in metalworking, glass finishing, and stainless steel surface prep. It is commonly used by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and industrial maintenance technicians to remove burrs, smooth weld seams, clean up gasket surfaces, or condition edges before assembly. Its oblong shape makes it practical for slot work, keyways, and other restricted geometry where a round or square stick would not seat properly.

Key Features

Silicon carbide abrasive grain for fast cutting on hard and non-ferrous materials

Rubber backing provides slight flex for conforming to irregular or contoured surfaces

Coarse grade for aggressive material removal and deburring

Oblong profile fits slots, keyways, and restricted-access surfaces

Green color for easy identification on the job

Compact 6 inch length for controlled hand use

Compatibility

Designed for use on glass, metal, and stainless steel surfaces. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when deburring or conditioning metal edges. Ensure workpieces are secured before applying abrasive pressure. Do not use on rotating equipment unless the stick is rated and mounted for that purpose.

Technical Specifications

Shape: Oblong

Abrasive Material: Silicon Carbide

Grade: Coarse

Overall Length: 6 inches

Overall Width: 1 inch

Overall Thickness: 3/8 inch

Backing Material: Rubber

Color: Green

Material Application: Glass, Metal, Stainless Steel

Weight: 0.2 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: CRATEX

Manufacturer Part Number: 6803 C
