Made from steel construction, this non-insulated fitting delivers a reliable mechanical and electrical bond without the need for set screws. It suits installations where moisture resistance and structural integrity are critical, including embedment in concrete or use in wet locations. Licensed electricians install this coupling during conduit rough-in work on commercial and residential projects.

This coupling is appropriate for use with 2-inch trade size EMT conduit runs in commercial construction, industrial facilities, and residential wiring systems. Compression fittings like the 665 are favored in concrete pour applications and wet-area installations where set-screw fittings may not provide adequate environmental protection. The concrete-tight rating makes it suitable for direct embedment or surface runs in damp and wet locations.

Key Features

Compression connection type - no set screws required, tool-tightened for a secure fit

Concrete-tight construction suitable for embedment and wet-location conduit runs

2-inch trade size fits standard EMT conduit of the same trade designation

Steel material provides mechanical strength and grounding continuity

Non-insulated design for standard EMT coupling applications

Compatibility

Designed for use with 2-inch trade size EMT conduit as an OEM-style compression coupling fitting.

Installation Notes

Installation of EMT conduit fittings must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits in the work area before handling conduit or fittings. Use an appropriate compression tool or wrench to tighten the fitting body to the conduit - do not over-torque the coupling nut. Inspect the conduit ends for burrs or deformation before assembly to ensure a proper seal.

Technical Specifications

Fitting Type: Coupling

For Conduit Type: EMT

Trade Size: 2 inches

Connection Type: Compression

Material: Steel

Insulation: Non-Insulated

Area of Application: Concrete Tight

Weight: 0.83 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: COOPER CROUSE-HINDS

Manufacturer Part Number: 665
