It controls fluid cleanliness by capturing particulate contamination in the hydraulic circuit, protecting pumps, valves, and actuators from abrasive wear. With an outside diameter of 3-23/32 inches and an overall length of 8-7/32 inches, the BT735 is a full-size element suited for systems with moderate to high flow demands. The 1-inch thread size allows for straightforward spin-on installation. Licensed HVAC techs, fleet mechanics, and hydraulic system technicians regularly service this type of filter as part of scheduled fluid maintenance intervals.

The BT735 is intended for automotive and light-to-medium industrial hydraulic applications where a spin-on filter element is specified. Typical installation scenarios include mobile hydraulic equipment, power steering systems, and auxiliary hydraulic circuits on work vehicles. It fits applications calling for a filter with 3-23/32 inches OD and 8-7/32 inches overall length at a 1-inch thread mount. Consult the equipment service manual to confirm flow rate, pressure rating, and element compatibility before installation.

Key Features

Spin-on design for fast, tool-assisted service without draining the entire hydraulic circuit

Outside diameter of 3-23/32 inches for fitment in standard-size filter housings

Overall length of 8-7/32 inches providing adequate media surface area for hydraulic fluid filtration

1-inch thread size for direct spin-on mounting to common hydraulic filter heads

Removes particulate contamination to help extend the service life of downstream hydraulic components

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement hydraulic filter for applications specifying the BALDWIN FILTERS BT735 with 3-23/32 inches OD, 8-7/32 inches OAL, and 1-inch thread size.

Installation Notes

Hydraulic filter service should be performed by a qualified mechanic or hydraulic system technician. Before replacing the filter, relieve system pressure completely and allow fluid to cool to avoid burns or injection injuries from pressurized hydraulic fluid. Apply a light coat of clean hydraulic fluid to the filter gasket before threading on the new element, and hand-tighten per the filter manufacturer guidelines. Dispose of used hydraulic fluid and filter elements in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Technical Specifications

Filter Type: Hydraulic Filter

Outside Diameter: 3-23/32 inches

Overall Length: 8-7/32 inches

Thread Size: 1 inch

Weight: 1.975 pounds

UNSPSC Code: 40161505

Standard Information

Brand: BALDWIN FILTERS

Manufacturer Part Number: BT735
