The filter pad is the evaporative media through which water flows and household air passes, allowing moisture to transfer into the airstream delivered by the HVAC system. Over time, mineral deposits from hard water reduce pad efficiency and restrict airflow, making periodic replacement a standard part of humidifier maintenance. HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners typically swap the pad at the start of each heating season or when the system shows reduced humidity output.

This pad is sold as a single unit and is intended as a direct OEM-style replacement for Aprilaire humidifiers that specify part number A35PR. It fits into flow-through or bypass humidifier configurations where the evaporative pad sits in a water distribution tray. Replacement is a routine seasonal task performed during heating system tune-ups and is well within the scope of standard HVAC maintenance calls.

Key Features

Direct OEM-style replacement filter pad for compatible Aprilaire humidifier models

Evaporative media design allows water to flow through while transferring moisture to the airstream

Sold as a single replacement unit

Routine seasonal replacement helps maintain rated humidity output and airflow efficiency

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter pad for Aprilaire humidifier systems specifying manufacturer part number A35PR.

Installation Notes

Replacement of the humidifier filter pad should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified service professional. Before servicing, shut off the water supply to the humidifier and set the HVAC system to a mode that prevents the air handler from calling for operation. Remove the old pad carefully to avoid dislodging accumulated mineral scale into the drain pan, and inspect the water distribution tray and solenoid valve for buildup before installing the new pad.

Technical Specifications

Product Type: Humidifier Filter Pad

Selling Unit: Single

Standard Information

Brand: APRILAIRE

Manufacturer Part Number: A35PR
