It provides network connectivity and PoE+ power delivery across four ports, with a 1-gigabit SFP uplink port for fiber or copper connectivity. The NEMA 4 enclosure protects internal components from dust, water spray, and harsh ambient conditions. This unit is designed for security integrators, low-voltage technicians, and network professionals who need to deploy IP cameras, access control readers, or other PoE-powered devices in outdoor or industrial environments where standard rack-mount equipment is not suitable.

The NETWAY4EWP is well suited for outdoor perimeter security systems, industrial automation networks, and remote access control installations. Its weatherproof enclosure makes it a practical choice for mounting in locations exposed to the elements, including building exteriors, parking structures, and utility areas. The 1G SFP uplink supports long-distance fiber runs back to a head-end or core switch, making it effective in campus or multi-building deployments where copper distance limitations apply.

Key Features

4 PoE+ output ports for powering IP cameras, access control hardware, and other IEEE 802.3at devices

1-gigabit SFP uplink port supports fiber or copper SFP modules for flexible backbone connectivity

NEMA 4 rated enclosure provides protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing water, and external ice formation

Compact, self-contained form factor suitable for wall or surface mounting in non-conditioned spaces

Designed for low-voltage security and networking professionals installing distributed IP systems

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style PoE+ network switch for use with IEEE 802.3at-compatible IP devices including network cameras, access control panels, and wireless access points in security and industrial network applications.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or network technician familiar with NEC Article 725 and applicable local codes. De-energize the upstream network feed and verify PoE power budgets before connecting powered devices to the switch ports. Ensure the enclosure mounting location allows for proper cable entry sealing to maintain the NEMA 4 rating. Do not exceed the total PoE power budget across all active ports simultaneously.

Technical Specifications

PoE Standard: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at)

PoE Output Ports: 4

Uplink Port: 1G SFP

Enclosure Rating: NEMA 4

Unit of Measure: Each

Quantity Per Unit: 1

Standard Information

Brand: ALTRONIX CORP

Manufacturer Part Number: NETWAY4EWP
